Wonderful place by Oceana. Love the quaint quiet vibes. Got the oyster and pasta and boy was it good. I do have to say it's not a bustling location but their food is fantastic

Clayton's Counter is a must try sandwich shop with innovative sandwiches. I tried the pastrami, meatloaf, and cubano sandwich. I enjoyed the pastrami and the meatloaf the most. The pastrami was delicious as it had a sweet taste to it. The meatloaf was delicious but the mac on top is not needed. In summary, a phenomenal spot for a sandwich and I think they have a bar inside too. A sandwich and a beer sounds sensational for my next visit.

Best burger ever! This place is so great. The food is amazing and I love sitting outside when I visit, the ventilation inside isn't great so you will leave smelling like food since they have an open kitchen right there in the dining area. There are only 2 tables outside but I believe last time I was there the server said they were trying to configure a way to get more outside seating.

Best Tuesday decision! If you are in the area please make your way to Clayton's Counter! We enjoyed the Award Winning Butter Burger and it did not disappoint, juicy and flavorful! The staff was friendly and with the amount of people they served today it looked like a busy day!

Love the vibe of the place. The booth in the back is perfect for our big group. We had 2 families, total of 5 adults and 5 kids with us, and it fit us all comfortably. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I got the Smoked Brisket Flatbread. Chefs kiss to that! It had so much flavor! There was plenty of brisket, and it was so filling. My husband got the NC Blackened Tuna Bowl. The tuna was cooked to perfection. The apple cider reduction pulled the entire meal together. I think I could use that reduction on anything and everything I eat, it was so good! My kids had the kids grilled cheese and the cheese pizza. The pizza was on a Flatbread, and they used fresh mozzarella. My daughter who got the grilled cheese, hurt my feelings and said it was better than the grilled cheese I make at home. Haha. My kids never finish their meals, but they cleaned their plates. We will definitely be back sooner than later!

Food-Exceptional for what it was. While the name has delicatessen in it, Clayton's Counter punches way above its weight class with its cooking. The food feels more modern bistro than deli and the execution was on point. Pierogis, which is his grandmas recipe, were flavorful with a bacon onion topping and creamy interior. Muffuletta was packed full of meat (lots of mortadella) and the focaccia had a nice crispy toasting to it. Fried chicken was flavorful and crispy as well, plating was excellent-just wish the grits were a little less dry. Service was friendly and definitely fit the home town bistro atmosphere going on. Seems like a place locals go to have a great bite to eat, not too many frills to be found here either. Definitely worth a shot, many more items on the menu id like to come back and try.

As soon as we walked in the door, there was Mary to greet us, she is such a dynamic host for this place. We chose to sit in the back corner because it just smacked of coziness, and the flat-screen above it had tranquil nature scenes. The smoked meat aromas will capture you, all done in the house. The food, my husband, had the smoked Pastrami with French fries. These were not ordinary fries. They had parmesan and oven roasted garlic cloves, such a delight. I had a butter burger ( fried in unsalted butter) with fontana cheese and French fries. The burger was med rare. However, I will ask for rare next time because it continues to cook even out of the pan and in the bun. We left happy and will be back. They do a great job. They offer specials, which are listed as you enter on a chalkboard and at the table.

As I scroll through Instagram Clayton's kept coming in my feed!! Promoting the Tuesday lunch special!! It always looked so good! So I decided to skip Taco Tuesday, and get a butter burger!! Do yourself and your tastebuds a favor get yourself a butter burger!! I promise you won't miss taco Tuesday! I called in and placed an order over the phone, the woman on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. The ordered was ready a s promised. Clayton's is located in a small strip mall. When you walk in you are immediately greeted!! That's a win for me! The place is very cute. The accuracy of my order was spot on!! My burger was cooked to perfection!! They have a special sauce on the burger that was so good!! (Side note I think I need a little extra on the side) I typically don't get cheese on my burger but I didn't want to change what appeared to be pure perfection!! Smart move I must say! The fries / potato wedges are amazing so crispy and flavorful!! If I had to be honest I have just one small complaint!! The pickle on the side needs to be larger!! I will share another thing don't judge me, keep this between us but yes I did go back already ! I will share this it was almost just as good as the first time. The 2nd visit my burger was slightly undercooked, and there was enough of their sauce on it. But it didn't stop me from eating if I just couldn't eat the middle of the burger!! The potato wedges were spot on. And I forgot to ask for an extra pickle! Oh well. Don't worry I'm sure I will e back there again very soon!! Down fall they are less than 10 minutes away from my office. Thank you Clayton's for such an awesome lunch see you soon.
